Musway MG6.2C Speakers
Musway MG6.2C are the flagship 2-way component speakers from the top MG model series, which represents the pinnacle of Musway's range of universal speakers. The MG series was designed with an emphasis on maximum accuracy, low distortion and a technically sophisticated construction that in many respects exceeds the common standard for its price category. These are not just visually attractive speakers, but above all an exceptionally refined whole with thoughtful acoustics, precise workmanship and top-notch sonic performance.
The 165 mm mid-woofer drivers use a highly engineered die-cast aluminum basket with slim spokes to allow maximum free airflow behind the cone. The entire construction is fully ventilated, including a drilled pole piece and additional venting holes around the T-plate, which significantly improves voice coil cooling and speaker stability under high load. The 32 mm voice coil itself features an above-standard winding length of 13.4 mm, providing very high linear excursion and the ability to reproduce high sound levels with minimal distortion. Drive is provided by a strong 13.7 oz magnetic circuit protected by a rubber boot.
One of the main design features is a sandwich cone that combines an ultra-thin aluminum layer with a damping paper base. This solution combines the high stiffness of aluminum with the natural damping of paper and allows a very linear frequency response without pronounced resonances or unwanted peaks in the upper band. The result is an exceptionally clean and accurate presentation with excellent control of the midrange, fast transient response and very low distortion.
The high-frequency range is handled by the MG6.2T model with a 26 mm silk dome mounted in an aluminum housing with an integrated rear acoustic volume. This allows the tweeter to be crossed very low while maintaining a linear character beyond 25 kHz. Great attention was also paid to the crossover itself. It uses quality components including air-core inductors, film capacitors and a sophisticated tweeter level control via a real voltage divider instead of simple series resistors. It also includes two protective circuits for the tweeter – a PTC element and a halogen bulb acting as a soft limiter, both of which can be deactivated if necessary.
In an independent test by Car&Hifi magazine, the MG6.2C model received an excellent rating of 1.1 in the Spitzenklasse class and the Best Product award. The editors highlighted the extraordinarily detailed midrange, airy highs, precise and dynamic bass foundation and the overall musical and natural character of the reproduction. The extremely low distortion values and the very linear frequency response of both drivers were also rated very positively. The editors even described the MG series speakers as one of the best component systems under €500.

About the brand
MUSWAY is an abbreviation of the motto "Music is the Way".
