Land Rover Defender - new sound system with DSP processor

Sound system for a Land Rover Defender. This beautiful car definitely deserved an upgraded sound in the form of new speakers, a subwoofer and an amplifier with a DSP processor. Within the given budget we chose component speakers from the French manufacturer Focal, which are always a reliable choice sonically. An advantage was also the well-designed tweeter, which fit perfectly into the original location in the dashboard. We supplemented the speakers with a top-class JL Audio subwoofer, which, after proper tuning, was able to lift the dynamics of the new system and also improve the reproduction of the lower mid frequencies of the mid-bass drivers. Those are very unfortunately positioned in the dashboard, and given their smaller size you cannot expect miracles. Tuning the sound was therefore a major challenge, but one we enjoy seeking out. The budget also allowed for a six-channel amplifier with a DSP processor from the Japanese manufacturer Nakamichi, which enabled us to carry out detailed sound tuning in the DSP processor software. Using a calibrated microphone we first measured all the deficiencies and obstacles of this vehicle and set spatial equalizer correction for each speaker in the car. We then set time alignment, levels, crossover points and other options that the DSP processor allows. The result is an exceptionally high-standard sound in this price category, tailored not only to our client but above all to this vehicle, which is no small challenge for quality audio. More information can be found in our photo report.View products >Hide products >
