The Honey COMBination Polishing Pad Short 2.0 is a powerful polishing pad designed for use with orbital polishers. The material structure combines 50% natural wool and 50% microfiber. It combines the cutting power of natural wool and microfiber with a good final shine, achieved by reducing sharpness during polishing thanks to the use of synthetic fur. The reinforced bonding of these two fibers reduces clogging of the pad with paste residues and improves the retention of its structure over time. It features a rubber intermediate layer that minimizes vibrations during work. The hole in the center ensures better cooling during work and facilitates even application of the pad on the backing plate.

How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their long lifespan and future polishing capabilities.
• During use, the temperature of the pad itself is very important for its lifespan, as it can heat up to high temperatures when polishing paint.
• If you polish the paint for an extended period and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature and allow the pad to cool down if it becomes overheated.
• Both the foam and the adhesive of the pad suffer at high temperatures.
• The polishing pad needs frequent cleaning during the polishing process, or it will stop working effectively.
• Once the polishing pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs addressing.
• You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds, holding the brush in hand to brush out the old paste. Make sure not to throw used paste onto the polished car paint during rotary cleaning.
• If you have an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is running.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad also needs to be prepared for future use.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a detergent for microfiber.
• Do not wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• After washing, do not tumble dry the pads, but let them air dry placed on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If a washing machine is not available, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner, diluted in a 1:6 ratio.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
