Polishing Pads Honey COMBination R DA-series

The Honey COMBination R-DA series is a line of polishing pads made from closed-cell foam. The R-DA pads offer a wide range of hardness that helps adapt the pad to any type of polishing and surface. These features make the R-DA pads a unique series with a wide range of applications. The good quality foam and precise workmanship result in high durability. The thin pad thickness, flexibility enhancing work comfort, resistance to high temperatures, and a center hole that aids in precise placement on the backing plate make the R-DA series pads ideal for beginners.

How to Care for Polishing Pads

  • Caring for polishing pads is very important for their long lifespan and future polishing capabilities.
  • During use, the temperature of the pad itself, which can heat up significantly during paint polishing, is crucial for the pad and its lifespan.
  • If you polish the paint for an extended period and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly reduce its lifespan.
  • Therefore, monitor the temperature and allow the pad to cool if it becomes overheated.
  • At high temperatures, both the foam and the adhesive of the pad suffer.
  • The polishing pad needs to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process; otherwise, it will stop functioning, and paint polishing will not be effective.
  • Once the polishing pad becomes clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
  • You can use a medium soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds to brush out the old paste. Just hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher spin the pad.
  • Be careful not to throw the used paste onto the polished car paint when cleaning rotationally.
  • If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad in the same way while the polisher is running.
  • After a successful machine polishing process, the pad should also be restored to a state where it can ideally be used in the future.
  • We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C with a detergent suitable for microfiber.
  • Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
  • Do not tumble dry pads after washing; let them air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
  • If you do not have access to a washing machine, you can wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner diluted in a 1:6 ratio.
  • Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
