The Honey COMBination Polishing Pad R DA-series White Cut is a basic abrasive pad from the R-DA series, specially developed for working with all types of paints, both hard and soft. This polishing pad is characterized by noticeable abrasive performance while maintaining a very high level of final gloss. It is ideal as the first step in multi-stage paint corrections, especially for soft and very soft paints, but can also be used for one-step corrections.

Polishing Pads Honey COMBination R DA-series

The Honey COMBination R-DA series is a range of polishing pads made from closed-cell foam. The R-DA pads offer a wide range of hardness levels, helping to adapt the pad to any type of polishing and any surface. These properties make the R-DA pads a unique series with a wide range of applications. The good quality foam and precise craftsmanship translate to high durability. The thin thickness of the pads, flexibility enhancing work comfort, resistance to high temperatures, and the central hole that helps accurately position the pad on the carrier make the R-DA series pads ideal for beginners.

How to Care for Polishing Pads

  • Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their long lifespan and future polishing capabilities.
  • The temperature of the pad itself is very important for its longevity during use, as it can heat up to high temperatures when polishing paint.
  • If you polish paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
  • Therefore, monitor the temperature, and if the pad is overheating, let it cool down for a while.
  • Both the foam and the adhesive of the pad suffer at high temperatures.
  • The polishing pad needs to be cleaned often during the polishing process, otherwise, it stops working and polishing won't be effective.
  • Once the polishing pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
  • You can take a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds, and brush away the old paste by holding the brush in your hand and letting the polisher rotate the pad.
  • Be careful not to throw the used paste onto the polished paint when cleaning.
  • If you own an air compressor, you can use it in the same way to blow out the pad while the polisher is running.
  • After successful machine polishing, the pad also needs to be put in a condition to be ideally used again in the future.
  • We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a detergent for microfiber.
  • Never wash the pads with towels or cloths!
  • Do not put the pads in a dryer after washing, but let them air dry placed on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
  • If you don't have access to a washing machine, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner, diluted in a ratio of 1:6.
  • Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed, clean plastic box.
