Honey COMBination R DA-series Polishing Pads
The Honey COMBination R-DA series is a range of polishing pads made from closed-cell foam. R-DA pads offer a wide range of hardness levels, helping to adapt the pad to every type of polishing and every surface. These features make R-DA pads a unique series with a wide range of applications. The high-quality foam and precise craftsmanship result in high durability. How to Care for Polishing Pads
- Caring for polishing pads is very important for their longevity and future polishing capabilities.
- During use, the temperature of the pad is crucial for its durability, as it can heat up significantly during polishing.
- If you polish the paint for an extended period and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
- Therefore, monitor the temperature and allow the pad to cool if it gets too hot.
- High temperatures affect both the foam and the adhesive of the pad.
- Polishing pads need frequent cleaning during the polishing process, otherwise, they stop functioning effectively.
- Once the pad is clogged with polishing compound, it needs to be addressed.
- You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to a lower speed, holding the brush in your hand to brush away the old compound. Be careful not to get the used compound on the polished paint.
- If you have an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is running.
- After successful polishing, it's important to restore the pad so it can be used again in the future.
- We recommend washing the pad in a washing machine at 40°C with a detergent suitable for microfiber.
- Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
- Do not dry the pads in a dryer; let them air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
- If you don't have access to a washing machine, you can wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner, diluted at a 1:6 ratio.
- Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed, clean plastic box.
