How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their longevity and future polishing abilities.
• The temperature of the pad itself is very important for its lifespan, as it can heat up to high temperatures during polishing.
• If you polish the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, its lifespan will be significantly reduced.
• Monitor the temperature, and if the pad is overheated, allow it to cool down.
• Both the foam and adhesive of the pad suffer at high temperatures.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process, otherwise it will stop functioning effectively.
• When the pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
• If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad in the same manner while the polisher is turned on.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad also needs to be prepared for future use.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C with a microfiber detergent.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• After washing, do not put the pads in the dryer; let them dry naturally placed on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If you don't have a washing machine available, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
