The Ewocar BurgundySpecial Soft Finishing Pad is an ultra-soft finishing pad made from premium-quality foam. It combines an exceptionally soft surface with a sturdy structure that provides high durability, making it one of the most resilient finishing pads on the market. Its unique cellular structure is specially designed for maximum performance and reliability during work. It is ideal for removing hazing (for a perfect finish) or minor holograms, and also for machine application of wax or glaze. Works perfectly with the finishing compound Ewocar Fine Cut.

How to care for polishing pads

• Proper care of polishing pads is important for their long life and future polishing performance.
• During use, the temperature of the pad is critical, as the pad can heat up to high temperatures while polishing paint.
• If you sand or polish for extended periods and frequently overheat the pad, you will significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Monitor the pad temperature and if it becomes overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• High temperatures damage both the foam and the pad’s adhesive.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned often during the polishing process; otherwise it will clog and polishing efficiency will drop.
• Once the pad is loaded with polishing compound, you need to deal with it.
• You can use a medium-stiff brush (for example, Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue) and set the polisher to low speed. Hold the pad in your hand and brush out the old compound.
• Hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher spin the pad. Be careful not to fling used compound onto freshly polished paintwork.
• If you have an air compressor, you can similarly blow the pad clean with the machine running.
• After successful machine polishing, prepare the pad so it’s ready for next use.
• We recommend washing the pad in a washing machine at 40 °C using a detergent suitable for microfiber. We recommend using a high-quality detergent such as Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works very well.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble-dry pads after washing; let them air-dry flat on a drying towel with the polishing side facing down.
• If you don’t have a washing machine available, you can wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner (for example, Gyeon Q²M APC) diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight, ideally in a closed, clean plastic box.
