Carbon Collective HEX Foam Polishing Pad (Compound 1 - Green)
A professional coarse polishing pad specially designed to maximise cutting performance and efficiency during machine polishing of paint. Thanks to innovative technology and a hexagonal foam structure, it ensures optimal distribution of polishing compound and effective heat dissipation. It is the ideal choice for removing deep scratches, heavy oxidation and sanding marks.
This highly effective polishing pad is the ideal solution for demanding paint correction jobs where maximum material removal is required without the risk of surface damage from overheating. The key element is its unique hexagonal (HEX) pattern on the foam surface. This structure acts as micro-reservoirs for the polishing compound, preventing it from drying out prematurely or being thrown off the working surface. The result is longer working time per polishing cycle, lower material consumption and smoother glide over the paint. The special German foam is highly resistant to wear and maintains stable firmness even during prolonged work.
The pad's thin-profile construction was developed with the specifics of modern orbital (dual action) polishers in mind. The slim profile minimises energy losses transmitted from the polisher to the paint surface, significantly increasing cutting power and overall work efficiency. The beveled profile (wedge design) also enables safer work in creases and hard-to-reach areas of the body. The mounting face for the backing pad expands into a larger polishing surface, increasing coverage while protecting surrounding panels from unwanted contact with the polisher edge.
Work safety is supported by a central cooling hole, which effectively removes heat from the pad's centre where the most thermal energy accumulates at high speeds. This prevents foam deformation, damage to the hook-and-loop fastening and, importantly, damage to the paint itself. The very strong hook-and-loop fastening ensures secure and stable attachment to the backing pad even under maximum load. The pad is designed not to leave undesirable swirling scratches (holograms) or micro-scratches, preparing the paint for the next step of fine polishing and finishing to a high gloss.
Main features
- Coarse foam pad intended for machine removal of deep paint damage, heavy oxidation and wet sanding marks.
- Unique hexagonal pattern for optimal retention of polishing compound and reduced surface temperature.
- Specifically designed for use with orbital (dual action) polishers.
- Very strong hook-and-loop fastening for stable and secure attachment to the backing pad.
- Central hole ensuring effective heat dissipation and cooling.
- High-quality German foam minimising the risk of holograms.
- Designed for backing pads with a diameter of 125 mm.
- The polishing surface diameter is 150 mm.
- Thin profile with a thickness of 20 mm maximises force transfer and increases cutting effect.
How to use
- Before use, ensure the vehicle paint is thoroughly washed, decontaminated and dry.
- Centre the pad and press it firmly onto a 125 mm backing pad.
- Apply an appropriate amount of coarse polishing compound to the pad.
- Before starting the polisher, spread the compound on the pad lightly over the worked surface.
- Work on smaller sections with light pressure and monitor the surface temperature.
- During work, clean the pad regularly using compressed air or a suitable pad brush.
- After finishing, wash the pad thoroughly in warm water with a cleaner for microfiber and polishing pads, then let it air dry.
About the brand
Carbon Collective is a premium British brand of car care, ceramic protections and detailing accessories. The brand was born from the practice of detailers themselves. It originally started as a team of product testers who were not satisfied with what the market offered, and so they decided to develop their own solutions. From the very beginning it follows the idea 'by detailers, for detailers' – products designed by people who truly understand detailing. Carbon Collective's range includes top-tier ceramic protections, car shampoos, cleaners, sealants, glass cleaners, wheel and interior care products and premium detailing accessories. The brand focuses on high performance, ease of use, modern technologies and long-term surface protection. Its products are popular among professional detailers and demanding car enthusiasts who want to achieve perfect results without compromise.
