BMW 5 (G30) - replacement of the factory Hi-Fi Sound System

BMW 5 Series and replacement of the factory Hi‑Fi Sound System. One of our most frequent installations in the workshop and it’s no wonder. The factory audio system from BMW is far from matching the quality, and especially the price, of the cars themselves. Fortunately there is an easy solution in the form of replacing the factory audio system. With the owner we chose our most requested audio package from the Italian manufacturer Audison, which is exceptional not only for its high-quality sound and power but also for installation without the slightest intervention in the original wiring. This is thanks to a sophisticated cabling system that ensures complete integration with the factory head unit without any cutting, soldering or running new cables. Audison speakers and subwoofers have the same dimensions, shape, mounting and connectors as the factory units, so the whole solution is Plug & Play. The foundation of the new system is an eight-channel Audison Forza amplifier with a DSP processor that supplies power to all speakers and subwoofers. At the end of the installation comes perhaps the most important part: measuring the sound with a calibrated microphone in the professional REW software, which after expert tuning allows the sound to be adapted not only to the listener but above all to this particular car with all the obstacles of this acoustically imperfect environment. We then enter the measured results into the DSP processor software, fine-tune the sound according to our preferences and finally perform the last adjustment with the client. The result is very high-quality sound with precise tuning that significantly outperforms the optional Harman Kardon system and will satisfy even more demanding listeners.
