Morel Acudamp MAT 227.8 is a robust anti-vibration material with an overall thickness of 2.7 mm, designed to damp vibrations and noise on the most heavily loaded parts of the body. Thanks to the combination of a thicker butyl layer and a durable 100-micron aluminum foil, it offers significantly higher mechanical effectiveness than standard anti-vibration materials. It is intended primarily for applications where substantial damping is required – on floors, wheel arches, cargo areas, and doors to maximally prevent vibrations and reinforce panels. The hexagonal honeycomb surface embossing improves the stiffness of the aluminum layer and aids in even application on curved surfaces. The stable butyl compound ensures high adhesion, heat resistance and long-lasting, odor-free durability. Using MAT 227.8 significantly increases panel stiffness, limits resonances of large surfaces and noticeably reduces noise transmitted into the cabin, resulting in improved bass dynamics and an overall reduction of audio system distortion.
