Bilt Hamber Dynax-S50
Bilt Hamber Dynax-S50 is a highly effective anti-corrosion wax designed for extreme protection of steel surfaces and hidden cavities in vehicles. Thanks to its capillary action, it penetrates deep into welds, joints and microscopic cracks, where it forms a durable protective barrier. This product not only prevents new rust from forming but also effectively stops existing corrosion.
This anti-corrosion wax forms a soft, brownish film after application with an exceptional self-healing ability. If the protective layer is mechanically damaged, the wax will flow back and reseal itself thanks to its consistency and active molecules, restoring the integrity of the protection. This makes it an ideal choice for demanding environments such as vehicle cavities, sills, doors and underbody components that are constantly exposed to moisture, temperature changes and road salts.
Advanced metal-seeking molecules actively displace water from the surface, allowing application even to slightly damp substrates. Dynax-S50 excels in extreme salt spray resistance tests according to ASTM B117, significantly outperforming common competing products. Unlike other waxes, it does not swell, crack or peel off under demanding conditions, ensuring stable and long-lasting protection.
Beyond the automotive industry, this adhesive medium is widely used for conserving expensive machinery, molds and tools during transport or storage, and for protecting steel structures in marine and coastal industries. The product has a high solids content (over 50%), yet retains excellent fluidity and capillary action to penetrate even the smallest gaps.

How to use
- Apply with a brush, roller, spray gun or a special injection lance for cavities.
- When working around closed cavities, we recommend thoroughly masking surrounding areas to prevent wax getting onto unwanted surfaces.
- The highly polarized corrosion inhibitors contained are able to displace surface moisture.
- Very wet surfaces are recommended to be pre-treated with Bilt Hamber Ferrosol.
- The aerosol version does not require a compressor or other special equipment.
- Before use, allow the container to stand for 24 hours in a room at around 15 °C, especially when using low-pressure spraying equipment.
- For non-aerosol containers the viscosity can be reduced by gently warming the container in a water bath (with the cap allowed), which helps the wax flow into deep seams.
- Never heat pressurized containers (aerosols).
- After application, leave cavities open for 48 hours to allow volatile components to evaporate before sealing them with plugs.
- The aim is to achieve an even dry film thickness of around 50 microns.
