Before first use, the supplied screw with wedge lock washer must be installed into the dust cap, as specified in the "Tuneable Mass System Installation Manual". This step is required even if you do not plan to use the additional tuning weights!
Performance and sound without compromise
The subwoofer is optimized for 300 - 750 W RMS and works ideally with high-power amplifiers. It features a three-layer honeycomb cone made of fiberglass and Mylar, providing extreme stiffness while maintaining effective damping. This results in minimal distortion, fast transient response and precise bass reproduction—even at extreme volume levels. A sophisticated cooling system with a large vented pole piece and a flow-optimized basket design ensures consistent airflow, prevents overheating and allows the subwoofer to deliver stable performance even under prolonged high load.
Tuneable Mass System – tailored tuning
The patented TMS system allows fine adjustment of the moving mass of the driver by adding or removing weights in the dust cap. This lets you precisely tailor the bass character to the specific application:
- without added mass – higher efficiency and faster response, ideal for high-power systems,
- with added mass – deeper and fuller bass, perfect for sealed or low-tuned bass-reflex enclosures.
This unique flexibility enables you to adapt the sound and enclosure volume to the listener’s preferences and the specific vehicle.
Versatile wiring and compatibility
Thanks to the dual voice coil 2 × 2 ohm design, the subwoofer can be wired in multiple configurations – from 1 ohm up to 4 ohms. This makes it suitable both for monoblock amplifiers and for multi-subwoofer setups with various system requirements. The HELIX IQ W10-DVC2 fits well in sealed enclosures for tight and accurate bass as well as in bass-reflex cabinets, where it demonstrates its ability to produce extremely deep frequencies with massive power.

A pressure-cast aluminum basket provides maximum stability and eliminates unwanted resonances. An integrated protective grille shields the cone while also simplifying installation in confined spaces.
