Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Xtra Cut Discs 5″ (DMX5) represent the latest generation of microfiber pads designed for dual-action and orbital polishers. The pads are engineered for effective removal of medium to deeper surface defects, such as scratches or oxidation, while maintaining a smooth, flawless finish without circular marks. This range achieves higher cutting ability than standard pads and has been optimized to work with the D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound. The pack contains 2 pieces, making it ideal for professional use and demanding hobby detailing projects.

How to use

Ensure the painted surface is thoroughly washed, dry and cool to the touch - avoid working on hot paint or in direct sunlight.
Attach the DMX5 pad to a suitable backing plate (e.g. a 5″ backing plate compatible with a DA polisher).
Apply a small or medium amount of correction compound (e.g. D300) to the pad or directly onto the panel.
Set the polisher to the recommended speed (according to the device) and work panel by panel - use slow, even passes with overlapping strokes.
After finishing a panel, immediately wipe off residue with a microfiber cloth and assess the result.
If necessary, continue with a smaller pad or a finishing pad to achieve maximum gloss.
After use remove the pad, clean it with air or by rinsing, let it dry - it will then be ready for further use.
