How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their longevity and future polishing capabilities.
• The temperature of the pad during use is important for its lifespan, as it can heat up significantly while polishing paint.
• If you polish for extended periods and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature, and if the pad overheats, allow it to cool down.
• Both the foam and the adhesive suffer at high temperatures.
• The polishing pad needs frequent cleaning during the polishing process; otherwise, it will become ineffective.
• Once the polishing pad becomes clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
• Use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds to brush away old paste.
• Be careful not to splatter used paste onto the polished car surface during rotary cleaning.
• If you have an air compressor, you can also use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is on.
• After successful machine polishing, make sure the pad is in a condition for future use.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C with a microfiber detergent.
• Do not wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble dry the pads; let them air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
