ADBL PPF Gel
ADBL PPF Gel is a specialized water-based installation solution designed for both professional and DIY application of protective polyurethane films. Thanks to its formulation with an optimal amount of lubricating agents, it significantly simplifies handling of the film on painted body parts and interior surfaces. It allows smooth sliding and precise placement of the film without the risk of premature adhesion to the surface.
Applying protective PPF films requires maximum precision, especially on complex-shaped parts of the car such as mirror housings, bumper contours or modern touchscreens. This installation gel creates an ideal slippery layer between the film and the surface, providing enough time for accurate positioning. This greatly reduces the risk of unsightly adhesive drag marks or air bubbles under the film during squeegeeing.
The gel’s composition is 99% water-based, ensuring maximum gentleness on sensitive materials. It is completely safe for glossy black surfaces (piano black), infotainment displays and painted parts. After installation the gel can be simply rinsed off with water or wiped away without leaving any unwanted streaks or dried residues on the surface.
A major advantage is also its versatility in use. The gel can be diluted with water up to a ratio of 1:3 depending on the needs and complexity of the specific application. Besides installation, it also works well as a temporary barrier preventing dirt and dust from being washed out from rubber seals and gaps directly under the film during squeegeeing.

How to use
- Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface using ADBL Surface Cleaner.
- Remove all dust and loose contaminants from the surface.
- Apply the gel to the prepared body surface and to the adhesive side of the protective film.
- Place and align the film precisely in the desired position.
- Using a squeegee, push the gel out from under the film from the center toward the edges and firmly seal the edges.
- Wipe off any gel residues with a clean microfiber cloth and dry the surrounding work area.
