This green Compound 1 pad is manufactured from high-quality German open-cell foam, delivering excellent mechanical durability and consistent cutting performance throughout the job. The key element is the patented hexagonal H.E.X. pattern on the pad surface. This profile evenly holds the polishing mixture, preventing it from drying out too quickly or splattering. That substantially extends the effective working time of the polish on a single panel and reduces product consumption.

Intensive polishing generates rapid heat buildup, which can damage the substrate or degrade the polish. This pad addresses overheating in several ways. In addition to the surface grooves, it features a central hole that efficiently removes heat from the rotating centre of the backing plate. Its tapered profile with a wider polishing surface than the hook-and-loop diameter allows safer work near edges and seams. The low 15 mm height optimises force transfer from eccentric and rotary polishers, prevents loss of orbit on battery machines and gives the user maximum control.

The green pad variant is specifically designed for the first polishing step—heavy compounding and removal of the most severe defects. How to use

• Before use, ensure the paint surface is thoroughly washed, decontaminated and dry.
• Centre the pad and firmly attach it to an 80 mm backing plate.
• Apply an appropriate amount of cutting polish to the polishing surface.
• Before starting the machine, spread the polish lightly across the panel.
• Polish with moderate pressure and constant speed, regularly checking surface temperature.
• During work, clean the pad regularly with compressed air or a suitable pad brush.
• After finishing, wash the pad in warm water with a cleaner designed for microfibre and pads, and allow it to air dry.
