BMW X6 M - top sound system (Harman Kardon upgrade)

Complete sound system for a BMW X6 M including frequency response measurement of the speakers and tuning of the results in the DSP processor. The car was fitted with the optional Harman Kardon audio system, which is among the better factory audio solutions, but a more demanding listener will soon uncover its shortcomings and reach for a higher-quality solution. We approached this installation somewhat differently than you’re used to. Most often we install plug & play audio from Audison into BMW vehicles. Recently we obtained official representation for the Italian high-end manufacturer ESB Audio, which offers sonically advanced speakers for BMW cars. They have received great feedback abroad and, given the high demands of our client, we did not hesitate to use them in this sound-quality-focused installation. As expected, these components did not disappoint us, as they surpass by a class everything we have heard so far for BMW cars. Paired with higher-quality speakers is the need for a higher-quality amplifier. Since the Zapco amplifier with integrated DSP processor from the American manufacturer has proven itself to us multiple times, it was the clear choice for this installation as well. The final piece of the new sound system mosaic in this beautiful car is a JL Audio subwoofer, which delivers precisely accurate bass and significantly enhances the system’s dynamics. Due to its minimal dimensions the subwoofer can be hidden in the double floor of the luggage compartment. And finally, it was time for measurement and detailed tuning on the DSP processor. Using a calibrated microphone we measured all the shortcomings and obstacles of the vehicle and set spatial equalizer correction for each speaker in the car. We then set time corrections, levels, crossovers and other options that the DSP processor allows. The result of the installation is highly accurate sound tailored to the car and the feeling that you are sitting at a live concert right in front of the performer. View products >Hide products >
