Bilt Hamber Ferrosol
A highly effective penetrating lubricant designed to free rusted joints, seal out moisture and provide long-term protection of metal surfaces against corrosion. Thanks to low surface tension it easily penetrates even the smallest gaps and restores the function of moving parts. It is an ideal aid for demanding industrial applications, vehicle service and everyday workshop tasks.
This product differs significantly from common multi-purpose sprays due to unique molecules that electrochemically bond to metal surfaces under friction. In this way they form an extremely durable protective film that greatly reduces wear and protects treated parts even after the visible oil film appears to have disappeared. Independent laboratory tests confirm that its lubricating performance and resistance to extreme pressure exceed commonly available competing products.
It finds use across a wide range of industries, from precision mechanics to heavy industry. It is excellent for lubricating highly stressed elements such as winches, chains, pivot pins, door hinges or universal joints. Given its properties it is also excellent as a machining lubricant – for drilling, tapping or reaming, where it efficiently cools and lubricates, thereby extending tool life.
A major advantage is the absence of silicone, PTFE, chlorinated solvents and molybdenum disulfide, making the product safe for use in paint shops where silicone particles could cause finish defects. How to use
- Before applying to electrical equipment or components, disconnect them from the power source.
- To free rusted and seized joints spray the product onto the affected area and let it act for several minutes.
- Before attempting to loosen a rusted nut or bolt apply a slight force in the tightening direction first to break the rust layer.
- To displace water and provide corrosion protection apply a sufficient amount directly to the wet surface.
- The created protective film can be washed off later with a mild solvent if necessary.
- When used as a machining lubricant apply the product continuously and repeatedly to both the workpiece and the tool.
- For general lubrication spray onto the surface and let it penetrate into the joints; do not wipe off.
- For removing tar, adhesives and waxes spray onto the soiled area, let it act for 10 to 20 seconds and gently wipe with a soft cloth.
- When maintaining machines and equipment always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
