Audi A6 - soundproofing of the front and rear doors

Soundproofing the front and rear doors of an Audi A6. If you want to reduce noise in the vehicle interior, a good place to start is the doors. A large amount of noise enters the cabin through them, and well soundproofed doors can significantly reduce interior noise. We soundproof the front and rear doors in a total of four layers. First we apply the premium anti-vibration material Comfortmat D2 to the outer sheet metal and then the sound-insulating material Comfortmat Integra, which is specially designed for vehicle doors. Thanks to its unique sound-insulating membrane, this material has an unrivalled ability to reduce noise by up to -28 dB and also provides thermal insulation properties. We then apply the anti-vibration material Comfortmat D2 again to the inner door sheet. The final step is soundproofing the door upholstery using the flexible shaped foam Comfortmat Soft Wave.
