BMW 3 (G20) - soundproofing of doors and wheel arches

Soundproofing of all doors and wheel arches of the latest-model BMW 3 Series. If you want to reduce noise in the car interior, it's appropriate to start with the doors. A high percentage of noise enters the interior through them, and well soundproofed doors can significantly reduce road noise. We soundproof the front and rear doors in four layers because this area is heavily exposed to vibrations and noise. We also thoroughly soundproofed the front and rear wheel arches. In this car, the wheel arches are textile instead of the classic plastic ones. Therefore we soundproof the metal part of the wheel arch with two layers. The first layer is a 4 mm anti-vibration material from the Premium line, and as the second layer we apply the Blockshot sound-insulating material, also from the Premium line. Thanks to its composition and unique anti-noise membrane, Blockshot can reduce noise by up to 32 dB and will demonstrate its abilities on this car's front and rear wheel arches as well. Although we carried out only basic soundproofing, thanks to top membrane materials from Comfortmat we managed to significantly reduce the noise in the car interior. The installation was more time-consuming than usual due to the presence of the window regulator mechanism, which we had to remove, and all the windows also had to be taken out.View products >Hide products >
