Small speaker, big sound
Morel is a brand that most audio enthusiasts know primarily for its high-end speakers and subwoofers—not just for the home, but of course for the car as well. Their products are known for their natural, musical sound and attention to detail, qualities that are rarely found in the portable speaker category. The Biggie directly builds on this philosophy and strives to translate it into a compact wireless solution without the typical compromises. At first glance, the compact square design measuring approximately 18 × 18 cm catches the eye; it is based on the design of the larger Högtalare model. The minimalist look is complemented by a practical handle and a wide range of color options, allowing Biggie to fit seamlessly into both modern interiors and everyday use. It is precisely this combination of design, craftsmanship, and emphasis on sound that makes Biggie an appealing product not only for the average user but also for the more discerning listener.
The real magic happens inside
The most important features of the Morel Biggie are hidden inside. The speaker is designed as a true two-way system with a separate woofer and tweeter, with the emphasis placed not only on the components themselves, but above all on their integration and the overall tuning of the system. At its core is a 4" (100 mm) high-excursion woofer that delivers tight and controlled bass, complemented by a 1" (25 mm) Morel silk dome tweeter known for its smoothness and natural reproduction of detail. Each driver also has its own amplifier, allowing for more precise control over reproduction and better dynamics. This is where the main difference lies—the Biggie doesn’t come across as a speaker tuned for flashy first impressions, but rather as a compact hi-fi system that prioritizes balance, control, and long-term listening pleasure.

Balanced sound thanks to advanced DSP
With the Morel Biggie, it’s not just the design itself that plays a major role, but also the way the entire system is tuned. The speaker utilizes advanced digital signal processing (DSP), which allows for precise control over the behavior of individual drivers and the overall sound character. The integrated DSP processor works with a dynamic equalizer that continuously adjusts the frequency response based on the current volume. This allows the Biggie to maintain a balanced and natural sound at both low and high volumes, without unpleasant distortion or artificial emphasis on certain frequencies. The result is a sound that is consistent, clear, and, above all, pleasant to listen to over the long term.
Modern Connectivity and Portability
The Biggie speaker is equipped with advanced Bluetooth 5.3 BLE technology, which ensures a stable wireless connection with a range of up to 50 meters. This makes music streaming reliable even in larger spaces or in the garden. Biggie also supports True Wireless Stereo and Auracast. TWS technology allows you to wirelessly connect two Biggie speakers to create a full-fledged stereo system, while Auracast support enables music sharing among multiple compatible devices. The built-in battery provides up to 20 hours of playback, and charging is done via a modern USB-C connector. Additionally, the speaker can be used while plugged into a power outlet..jpg)
Iconic minimalist design
The Biggie speaker’s design combines minimalist aesthetics with practical details. Its compact square shape builds on the design of the Högtalare model, but this time in a smaller, easily portable version. The handle, with its leather-like (animal-friendly) finish, makes it easy to carry and can also be removed. The Biggie is available in a wide range of color options, allowing you to match the speaker to your interior or personal style. Variants are available in black, white, red, dark blue, golden yellow, light blue, olive green, and turquoise; for lovers of natural materials, an elegant version with an oak finish is also available.EISA Award 2024–2025
The quality of the Morel Biggie speaker is also confirmed by the prestigious EISA Award, where it was named the best portable speaker for the 2024–2025 period. The jury particularly praised the two-way design with dedicated amplification for each driver, the surprisingly powerful and balanced sound given its compact size, and modern features such as TWS stereo pairing, fast charging via USB-C, and support for Auracast technology. We are currently preparing a detailed review of the Morel Biggie for you, including a comparison with other speakers in a similar price range.Biggie is just the beginning
We will soon begin adding other carefully selected portable speakers from trusted manufacturers to our lineup—products that excel in both sound quality and build quality. Over time, we will also expand into other segments, such as headphones, music players, and party and home speakers. This entire category will then be given significantly more space with the upcoming redesign of our e-shop, which we plan to launch in the third quarter of this year. It will bring not only a state-of-the-art design and a clearer structure, but also new product presentation options, more detailed information, and an overall better user experience.
