Custom-engineered construction

At the heart of the Biggie are drivers designed and manufactured directly by Morel. Unlike most portable speakers, the Biggie uses a true two-way bass-reflex design. The foundation is a custom-developed 4" (100 mm) woofer with high excursion, which provides solid and accurate reproduction of bass frequencies, while the high frequencies are handled by Morel’s legendary 1" (25 mm) silk tweeter known for its delicacy, clarity and natural detail reproduction. Each driver has its own amplifier, allowing more precise control over reproduction and better sound dynamics. The result is a speaker capable of producing a surprisingly spacious and balanced sound performance despite its compact dimensions.

Perfect sound thanks to advanced DSP

The Biggie uses advanced digital signal processing (DSP) that enables precise tuning of the entire speaker system. The integrated DSP processor includes a dynamic equalizer that automatically adjusts the frequency response according to the current volume. This ensures the speaker retains a balanced and natural sound at low and high volumes without unwanted distortion or exaggerated emphasis of specific frequency bands. Modern connectivity and portability

The Biggie is equipped with modern Bluetooth 5.3 BLE technology, which provides a stable wireless connection with a range of up to 50 meters. Music transmission is therefore reliable even in larger spaces or in the garden. The Biggie also supports True Wireless Stereo and Auracast. TWS technology allows two Biggie speakers to be wirelessly linked to create a full stereo system, while Auracast support enables sharing music between multiple compatible devices. The integrated battery provides up to 20 hours of playback and charging is done via a modern USB-C connector. The speaker can also be used while connected to mains power.

Iconic minimalist design

The Biggie’s design combines minimalist aesthetics with practical details. The compact square shape follows the design of the Högtalare model, this time in a smaller and easily portable execution. The handle with a leather-like (animal-friendly) surface makes carrying easier and can also be removed. The Biggie is available in a wide range of colors to match interiors or personal style. Variants are available in black, white, red, dark blue, golden yellow, light blue, olive green and turquoise; for lovers of natural materials there is also an elegant oak-finish version.

The quality of the Morel Biggie is also confirmed by the prestigious EISA award, where it was named Best Portable Speaker for 2024–2025. The jury highlighted primarily the two-way design with dedicated amplification for each driver, the surprisingly strong and balanced sound given its compact size, and the modern features such as TWS stereo pairing, fast USB-C charging and support for Auracast technology.
