Volkswagen Touran - new sound system and soundproofing of the doors

We installed a complete new audio system in a VW Touran. For the front and rear doors we selected components from the Israeli brand Morel from the Maximus entry-level series, which our customer preferred most when listening on our demo panel in the shop, and therefore chose for his car. The speakers deliver very above-average sound for their price category—as is the case with all Morel components. Detailed and very pleasant-to-listen-to tweeters with the typical "sweet and warm" tonal character and mid-bass with precise, dynamic lows—you'll get used to it quickly. Although the Maximus line is notable for the fact that, thanks to extreme sensitivity of 94 dB, the speakers can perform very respectably even on a factory radio, we still installed a five-channel Audison amplifier to get the most out of them. Its presence had a very positive effect not only on the speakers' power but, of course, also on the resulting sound without distortion at the highest volumes. To support the dynamics of the new system the customer chose a Gladen subwoofer in an enclosure, which provides not only powerful bass but also the required quality and precision. The only thing missing from this very successful system was a DSP processor for more precise tuning, but that is planned to be added in the future. Of course, thorough soundproofing of the doors and their plastic trim with premium SGM materials from the top Prime series was included—these materials focus not only on high effectiveness but also on very low weight so as not to burden the doors.
