Unilite HL-6R Headlamp

The rechargeable Unilite HL-6R headlamp offers a maximum output of 450 lumens from the spot Cree LED and also features a second LED with a maximum output of 260 lumens. The HL-6R is powered by the supplied 18650 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which is housed in a separate pack at the rear of the headband. The battery is charged inside the battery pack by inserting the cable into the micro USB port on the underside of the battery pack and the other end into a USB port or wall/car adapter. While charging, a red LED lights to indicate charging in progress, and green indicates that charging is complete. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. In addition to the rechargeable battery, the HL-6R can also use two AA alkaline batteries. When using AA alkaline batteries, lumen output is reduced, but if your rechargeable battery runs out and you have no way to recharge it (for example at a campsite), AA alkaline batteries provide a good backup. Never attempt to charge the headlamp if AA batteries are inserted!

Controls and usage of the headlamp

A simple push-button micro-switch controls the headlamp’s light settings. One press of the button turns the light on in either the spot or flood beam, depending on which you used last. To switch between spot and flood modes, press and hold the button for 1 second. If it remains in any mode for more than 3 seconds, pressing again will turn the light off. The tilting bracket allows the HL-6R to be angled downwards by 45°, so you can direct the light where you need it most. Thanks to high-visibility technology you will be easily seen, which is useful when working in industrial environments. The fully adjustable anti-slip silicone headband lining helps keep the headlamp securely on your head or helmet.
