The Thinkware U3000PRO 2CH is the flagship 2-channel dashcam designed for drivers who want the highest recording quality while driving and advanced protection for their parked vehicle. The front camera records in 4K UHD, the rear camera in 2K QHD, and both use the latest Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors with HDR support. The result is detailed and legible footage day and night and in challenging lighting conditions. The U3000PRO also offers built-in GPS, Bluetooth, 5 GHz Wi‑Fi and dual radar sensors for parking mode. Thanks to this, it can monitor the vehicle’s surroundings very energy-efficiently even during long-term parking and automatically create recordings when motion or impact is detected.

4K front and 2K rear with Sony STARVIS 2

The front camera uses the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor with 8.4 MP and records video at 3840 × 2160 px at 30 fps. Alternatively, 2K QHD at 60 fps can be selected, which is suitable for smoother recording at higher speeds. The rear camera uses the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor with 5.14 MP and records in 2K QHD 2560 × 1440 px at 30 fps.

HDR front and rear

HDR technology helps preserve readable details simultaneously in bright and dark areas of the image. This is important when driving towards the sun, in tunnels, at night or with oncoming vehicle headlights. The U3000PRO uses HDR for both the front and rear cameras.

Super Night Vision 4.0

For recording at dusk and at night, the U3000PRO is equipped with Super Night Vision 4.0. In combination with the Sony STARVIS 2 sensors it optimizes sensitivity and noise suppression so the image remains usable even in very low light.

Dual radar parking mode

One of the biggest advantages of the U3000PRO is the integrated radar sensors front and rear. In parking mode they monitor the area around the vehicle with very low power consumption and prepare the camera for immediate recording when motion is detected. Other parking modes are also available, such as Motion & Impact Detection, Time Lapse and Energy Saving Mode. When an event is detected, the camera can save footage that includes the moments before and after the incident.

Bluetooth and fast 5 GHz Wi‑Fi

Bluetooth is primarily used for simple initial pairing of the camera with a mobile phone. Afterwards you can use 5 GHz Wi‑Fi for faster video transfers, playback of recordings and changing settings via the THINKWARE Dash Cam Link app for Android and iOS.

Built-in GPS and ADAS driver assistance

The integrated GPS stores information about the vehicle’s speed and position and enables advanced assistance features. The Thinkware U3000PRO supports functions such as FCWS, uFCWS, FVDW and TSA and can also alert you to certain speed and red light camera locations.

THINKWARE CONNECTED

The U3000PRO supports THINKWARE CONNECTED cloud services. For remote online features a compatible LTE module must be added, which is not included as standard with the camera. TSS Group, the Czech distributor, states that an LTE module with a data SIM card can be used.

CPL filter included

The system includes a CPL polarizing filter that reduces windshield glare and other unwanted reflections. As a result, the final image can be clearer and have better contrast.
