Steering wheel button control adapter for Seat / Skoda / VW ACV SWC 42XVW015-0

Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the range of functions and the software of the newly installed head unit, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, verify the vehicle functionality, system settings and proper operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

      • Škoda Citigo (AA) (05/2017 -> 06/2019) - original OEM head unit, vehicles with LG Anatel L169SK2 OEM HU.
      • Škoda Citigo iv (AA) (01/2020 -> 08/2021) - original OEM head unit, vehicles with LG Anatel L169SK2 OEM HU.
      • VW Amarok (2H) (09/2016 -> 07/2020) - original OEM head unit, vehicles with combined HU and CD in the dash.

      CAN Bus Information

      Connectors and Power Supply:

      • Connector: 52 Pin Quadlock VAG.
      • OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or loose wire to the SWC input of the head unit.

      Settings:

      • DIP switch settings according to the manufacturer of the aftermarket HU (see BDA).

      Vehicle Compatibility:

      • Supported: Seat, Škoda and Volkswagen vehicles with MIB-PQ system.
      • Not supported: Seat Mii (AA), Škoda Citigo (iv) (AA), VW UP! (AA) with dash mount monitor.

      Special Cases and Notes:

      • Vehicle settings are not supported.
      • E-Call is not supported. For vehicles with E-Call an adapter 1424-02 is required.
      • For vehicles with OEM parking camera an adapter 771324-1037 is required.
      • Re-imported vehicles or vehicles with different software versions may have limited functionality.

      Important Additional Information

      • Compatible with aftermarket car radios with CAN Bus input.
      • To fully activate the adapter, a connection cable for the specific car radio brand must be ordered.

      General Installation Instructions

      Verification Before Installation:

      1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings using the OEM HU.
      2. Disconnect OEM HU in a voltage-free condition.
      3. Check all interface connections in a voltage-free condition.

      Connection and Installation Sequence:

      1. Set the HW configuration of the interface in a voltage-free condition.
      2. Check the configuration of the HU cable in a voltage-free condition.
      3. Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket unit manual.
      4. Connect the remaining wires according to the manual.
      5. Connect the complete installation to the vehicle – connect the main power supply last.
      6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the manual.
      7. Configure the aftermarket HU (SWC, camera, handsfree, antenna power supply etc.).
      8. Verify the functionality of SWC and the vehicle system.

      Configuration Changes:

      • All changes must be carried out in a voltage-free condition.
      • After making changes repeat installation steps 5 to 8.

      In Case of Failure:

      • Reinstall OEM HU.
      • Start OEM HU.
      • Initiate CAN Bus shutdown.
      • Check the HW configuration of the interface.
      • After CAN Bus shutdown repeat installation steps 5 and 6.

      When Modifying Wiring:

      • Installation and modifications may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
      • All changes must be verified regarding manufacturer approval or impact on warranty.
      • All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram.
      • Modifications are carried out at your own responsibility without guarantee of functionality.
      • Modifications may cause damage to the vehicle, radio or interface.
      • Changes to the wiring may result in loss of product warranty.
