Steering Wheel Button Control Adapter for Opel ACV SWC 42XVX003-0

Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the range of functions and the software of the newly installed head unit, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, verify the vehicle functionality, system settings and proper operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

Intended for vehicles

• Opel Corsa D (S07) (12/2008 -> 11/2010) - original OEM head unit.
• Opel Corsa D (S07) (01/2011 -> 08/2014) - original OEM head unit.

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connector: 40-pin Opel Quadlock.
• OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or spare wire.
• Power backup: spare wire.

Spare wire connections:

• Red: +12V switched power (terminal 15) — protected by a fuse in the fuse box.

Vehicle compatibility:

• Compatible with OEM head units CD30, CD30 MP3, CDC40, CD50, CD70, DVD90.
• Supports OEM units by Blaupunkt, Delphi, Siemens VDO.
• Supports vehicle settings management (see manual).

Special cases and warnings:

• If the interface fails after prolonged use, it is necessary to reconnect the OEM unit and perform a CAN Bus shutdown.
• Alternative CAN Bus connection: 32-pin OEM display connector (CAN High/Low on pins 20/23).
• Alternative CAN Bus connection: Comfort CAN at the climate control unit.
• Re-imported vehicles or vehicles with different software may have limited functionality.

Important additional information

• Compatible with aftermarket head units that support SWC via an analog input.
• To fully activate the adapter, you must order the connection cable for the specific brand of head unit.

General installation instructions

Verification before installation:

1. Verify all steering wheel control functions and vehicle settings with the OEM head unit (HU).
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with the power off.
3. Check all interface connections — with the power off.

Connection and wiring sequence:

1. Set and check the hardware configuration of the interface — with the power off.
2. Check the configuration of the cable to the head unit — with the power off.
3. Connect the cable to the head unit according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle — connect the main power supply last.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket head unit (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and communication with the vehicle.

Changing the interface configuration and HU cable:

• Make all changes with the power off.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
• Start the original unit.
• Invoke CAN Bus shutdown.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or harnesses:

• Wiring and modifications must be performed only by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
• All modifications must be verified by measurement and compared with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
