Steering wheel button control adapter for Opel ACV SWC 42XVX001-0

Retain the original steering-wheel radio controls when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, available functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and ensure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel controls (SWC).

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connectors: ISO.
• OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or free wires.
• SWC connection on the power connector: Pin A2.

Settings:

• Set DIP switches according to the aftermarket unit manufacturer.

Vehicle compatibility:

• Compatible with Delco / Delphi / Grundig / Philips 1-DIN OEM radios.
• Compatible with OEM head units CCR2006, CAR2003, CAR2004, CDR2005.
• Does not support vehicle configuration settings.

Special cases and warnings:

• Reimported vehicles or vehicles with different software may have limited functionality.

Important additional information

• Compatible with aftermarket radios that accept an analog steering wheel control input.
• To fully activate the adapter, a brand-specific connection cable for the radio must be ordered.

General installation instructions

Checks before installation:

1. Verify all control functions and vehicle settings with the OEM head unit installed.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM head unit) with power off.
3. Check all interface connections with power off.

Connections and wiring sequence:

1. Set and verify the hardware configuration of the interface with power off.
2. Check the connection cable configuration to the head unit with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the head unit according to the aftermarket device instructions.
4. Connect the other wires according to the device instructions.
5. Connect the installation to the vehicle — connect the main power last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket head unit (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing interface configuration and head unit cable:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 through 8 above.

If the interface or vehicle system malfunctions:

• Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
• Start the original unit.
• Trigger CAN Bus shutdown.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications must be carried out only by qualified personnel.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval and potential impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
