Steering wheel button control adapter for Nissan ACV SWC 42XNS025-0

Retain the original steering-wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, the range of functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

Intended for vehicles

• Nissan Kicks (05/2017 -> 08/2020).
• Nissan Qashqai (J11) (03/2014 -> 10/2018) vehicles with N-Connecta, N-Vision, Tekna equipment – Nissan Safety Shield functions are not supported: motion detection, parking assistant, fatigue detection, blind spot assist.
• Nissan Rogue II (2014 -> 2019).
• Nissan X-Trail (T32) (07/2017 -> 08/2018).

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connector: 20-pin / 32-pin Nissan.
• Connector: OEM SWC > 3.5 mm jack / loose wire.
• Connector: OEM AUX > RCA (male) red/white.
• Connector: OEM USB > USB-A.
• Connector: OEM 360° camera system > RCA (male) yellow.

Power signals:

• Blue: +12V antenna remote.
• Red: +12V switched power terminal 15.
• Orange: +12V illumination terminal 58.
• Purple/white: +12V reverse signal.
• Pink: speed signal.
• Green: parking brake GND signal.

Compatibility and functions:

• Vehicles with OEM navigation.
• Vehicles with OEM 360° camera system.
• Support for setting date/time on the BC display in the AUX position.
• Supports OEM 360° camera system.
• Before installation, verify correct assignment of the OEM AUX by measurement.
• If the AUX item is missing in the menu, a factory reset of the BC and a new configuration are required.
• The track skip forward/back functions may be swapped.

Important additional information

• To fully activate the adapter, you must order the connection cable for the specific brand of head unit.

General installation instructions

Verification before installation:

1. Check all vehicle control functions and settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with power off.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are properly connected – with power off.

Connection and wiring sequence:

1. Check the interface settings and hardware configuration – with power off.
2. Check the configuration of the radio connection cable – with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the radio according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power connection last.
6. Perform the interface software configuration according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, and others).
8. Perform a functional test of steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing interface and HU cable configuration:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM HU.
• Start the original unit.
• Invoke CAN Bus system shutdown.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After shutting down CAN Bus, repeat steps 5 and 6 above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications may only be carried out by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or potential impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
