Steering Wheel Button Control Adapter for Nissan ACV SWC 42XNS016-0

Preserve the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle equipment, range of functions and the software of the newly installed head unit, some functions may be limited or replaced by other functions. Compare the shown wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Verify whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, check vehicle operation, system settings and correct functioning of the steering wheel control (SWC).

Designed for vehicles

• Nissan 350Z (Z33) (06/2002 -> 08/2009).
• Nissan Navara (D40) (07/2005 -> 03/2010) vehicles with the basic OEM radio with the left rotary control.
• Nissan X-Trail (T30) (06/2001 -> 07/2007) vehicles with 2 DIN CH340 OEM radio.

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connector: 10-pin / 6-pin / 20-pin Nissan.
• Connector: OEM SWC > 3.5 mm jack / spare wire.

Power signals:

• Black: GND terminal 31.
• +12V amp remote: pin 2 next to +12V constant power – verify by measuring with the OEM radio.

Compatibility:

• Vehicles with OEM amplified audio systems – ISO-to-ISO active system adapter for amplified systems.

Important additional information

• To fully activate the adapter, a brand-specific connection cable for the head unit must be ordered.

General installation instructions

Checks before installation:

1. Verify all vehicle functions and settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) from power.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – with power off.

Connections and wiring sequence:

1. Check the interface settings and hardware configuration – with power off.
2. Check the configuration of the connection cable to the radio – with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the radio according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power last.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket head unit (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power and others).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing the interface configuration and HU cable:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After any change, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

If the interface or vehicle system malfunctions:

• Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
• Start the original unit.
• Trigger shutdown of the CAN Bus system.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cabling:

• Wiring and modifications may only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified regarding manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
• All modifications must be verified by measurement and compared with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
