Preserve the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle equipment, available functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connector: 20-pin / 32-pin Nissan.
• Connector: OEM SWC > 3.5mm Jack / spare wire.
• Connector: OEM antenna > DIN (male).
• Connector: OEM AUX > RCA (male) red/white.
• Connector: OEM USB > USB-A.

Power signals:

• Blue: +12V antenna remote.
• Red: +12V switched ignition (terminal 15).
• Orange: +12V illumination (terminal 58).
• Purple/white: +12V reverse signal.
• Pink: vehicle speed signal.
• Green: parking brake ground.

Compatibility:

• Vehicles without a 360° OEM camera system.
• Date/time settings supported.

Notes on OEM AUX:

• Before installation, verify correct wiring by measuring with the OEM head unit.

Important additional information

• To fully activate the adapter, you must order the connection cable specific to the radio brand.

General installation instructions

Pre-installation checks:

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with the power off.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – with power off.

Connections and wiring sequence:

1. Check the interface settings and hardware configuration – with power off.
2. Check the radio connection cable configuration – with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the radio according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the remaining wires as per the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power lead last.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power and other functions).
8. Perform a function test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing the interface and HU cable configuration:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 through 8 above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
• Start the original unit.
• Initiate CAN Bus system shutdown.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After shutting down the CAN Bus, repeat steps 5 and 6 above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications must be performed only by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified before connection in terms of manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty.
• All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
