Steering wheel button control adapter for Nissan ACV SWC 42XNS009-0

Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle equipment, range of functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether any of the listed OEM radios were originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

• Nissan Pulsar (C13) (10/2014 -> 06/2018).
• Nissan Qashqai (J11) (03/2014 -> 07/2017) vehicles with 360° OEM camera system require the SWC adapter Nissan Qashqai/Rogue/X-Trail 20Pin/32Pin camera item: 42xns025.
• Nissan X-Trail (T32) (07/2014 -> 07/2017) vehicles with 360° OEM camera system require the SWC adapter Nissan Qashqai/Rogue/X-Trail 20Pin/32Pin camera item: 42xns025.

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connector: 20 Pin / 32 Pin Nissan.
• Connector: OEM SWC > 3.5mm jack / spare wire.
• Connector: OEM antenna > GT13(f) > DIN(m).
• Connector: OEM AUX > RCA(m) red/white.
• Connector: OEM USB > USB-A.

Power signals:

• Blue: +12V antenna remote.
• Red: +12V switched power terminal 15 (if not supported via CAN Bus).

Compatibility:

• Vehicles with Visia trim level.
• Vehicles without OEM navigation.
• Vehicles without 360° OEM camera system.
• Date/time setting supported.
• AUX configuration via the multifunction display (see manual).

Notes on OEM AUX:

• Before installation, verify correct wiring by measurement.

Important additional information

• To fully activate the adapter it is necessary to order the connection cable for the specific head unit brand.

General installation instructions

Checks before installation:

1. Check all vehicle functions and settings with the original OEM head unit installed.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with power off.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – with power off.

Connection and wiring sequence:

1. Check the interface settings and hardware configuration – with power off.
2. Check the configuration of the connection cable to the radio – with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the radio according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the other wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power connection last.
6. Perform the interface software configuration according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power and others).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing interface and HU cable configuration:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

In case of interface or vehicle system failure:

• Reinstall the original OEM HU.
• Start the original unit.
• Trigger shutdown of the CAN Bus system.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications may only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
