Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, the range of functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether any of the listed OEM head units were originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel controls.

- Ford Everest (2015 -> 2020) - original OEM head unit.
- Ford Ranger [2AB] (01/2016 -> 01/2019) - original OEM head unit.
- Ford Ranger [2AB] (01/2019 -> 2021) - original OEM head unit.
- Ford Transit Custom [FAC/FAD] (06/2016 -> 01/2018) - OEM USB/AUX not supported, vehicles with Euro 6 emissions standard.
- Ford Transit [V363] [FCA/FAD] (06/2016 -> 06/2019) - OEM USB/AUX not supported, vehicles with Euro 6 emissions standard; vehicles with Euro 5 emissions standard – item: 42xfo008; vehicles without OEM display – item: 42xfo015; installation of OEM display is not supported using the radio mounting frame, the OEM display must remain connected.
CAN Bus information
- System type: CAN Bus.

- Output for OEM steering wheel control: 3.5 mm jack or free wire.
- OEM AUX connection: RCA red/white.

Important additional information
- Before installation, disable SYNC and Bluetooth functions in the OEM unit, if available.
- Intended for aftermarket head units from Sony, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Alpine, LG, Zenec, XZent, Digital Dynamics, ESX, Snooper and universal "China HU" units with Key1/Key2/GND wires or a 3.5 mm jack depending on type.
- To fully activate the adapter, it is necessary to order the brand-specific connection cable for the head unit.
Provided signals
- Red: +12V switched power (terminal 15).
- Orange: +12V illumination (terminal 58).
- Violet-white: +12V reverse.
- Pink: speed pulse.
- Green: parking brake signal ground.
- Maximum output load: 250 mA.
- When drawing more than 250 mA:
- 1 relay – minimum coil resistance 75 Ohm.
- 2 relays – minimum coil resistance 150 Ohm.
- Steering wheel control (SWC).
General installation instructions
Checks before installation:
- Check all steering control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
- Remove the original radio with the power disconnected.
- Check all interface connections to ensure they are properly connected – with power off.
Connection and wiring sequence:
- Perform interface settings and hardware configuration with power off.
- Check the configuration of the connection cable to the HU.
- Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket device manual.
- Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
- Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power last.
- Perform software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
- Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
- Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and communication with the vehicle.
Changing the interface configuration and HU cable:
- Make all changes with power off.
- After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.
If the interface or vehicle system fails:
- Reinstall the original OEM HU.
- Start the original unit.
- Wait for the CAN Bus system to sleep.
- Check the HW configuration of the interface.
- After the CAN Bus has slept, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.
When modifying wiring or cable routing:
- Connections and modifications may only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
- All modifications must be verified prior to connection regarding manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty.
- All changes must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
