Maintain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Compare the displayed cable connectors with the connectors in your vehicle to ensure they match both technically and visually. Before installation, verify that one of the specified original radios was used in the vehicle.

• Ford Escort V (AAL/ANL) (02/1995 -> 09/2001).
• Ford Focus I (DAW/DBW/DFW/DNW) (10/1998 -> 10/2001).
• Ford Focus I (DAW/DBW/DFW/DNW) (10/2001 -> 08/2005) Ghia / ST24 vehicles are not supported.
• Ford Galaxy I (WGR) (04/2000 -> 05/2006).
• Ford Mondeo III (B4Y/B5Y/BWY) (12/2000 -> 06/2003) Ghia / ST24 vehicles are not supported.
• Ford Puma I (ECT) (07/1997 -> 12/2001).

CAN Bus Information

• Connection: 8pin / 8pin / 17pin Ford connector.
• Supported OEM units: Visteon 2000 / 4050 / 5000 / 6000 / 6006 / 7000.
• Does not support vehicles with OEM navigation Blaupunkt.

• Steering Wheel Control (SWC).

Important Additional Information

• A connecting cable for the specific brand of radio must be ordered for full adapter activation.

General Installation Instructions

Pre-Installation Verification

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM radio.
2. Remove the OEM unit without power.
3. Check all interface connections for correctness and continuity without power.

Connection and Installation Order

1. Perform interface settings and hardware configuration without power.
2. Check the configuration of the connecting cable to the unit.
3. Connect the cable to the unit according to the aftermarket radio manual.
4. Connect all other wires according to the aftermarket radio manual.
5. Connect the main power connection to the vehicle last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface according to the description and BDA instructions.
7. Configure the aftermarket radio for SWC functions, camera, handsfree, and antenna power.
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and vehicle communication.

Interface and Unit Cable Configuration Changes

• Make all changes without power.
• After changes, repeat steps 5–8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction

• Return the original OEM unit to the vehicle.
• Turn on the OEM unit.
• Wait for the CAN Bus to sleep.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After the CAN Bus sleeps, follow steps 5–8 above.

When Modifying Connections or Wiring

• Modifications should only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• Before connecting, verify compliance with manufacturer requirements and warranty impact.
• Before connecting, verify function through measurement and vehicle schematic.
• Modifications are undertaken at one's own risk without a guarantee of function.

• Interventions into pre-installed wiring may void the product warranty.
