Retain the original radio control functions from the steering wheel when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle’s equipment, the range of functions, and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Verify whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, check vehicle functionality, system settings, and correct operation of the steering wheel controls (SWC).

• Citroën C1 (P) (07/2014 -> 09/2021) - original OEM head unit.

• Peugeot 108 (P) (07/2014 -> 03/2021) - original OEM head unit.

• Toyota Aygo (AB1) (07/2014 -> 06/2018) - original OEM head unit.
• Toyota Aygo (AB1) (06/2018 -> 03/2022) - original OEM head unit.

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connectors: Toyota 10-pin / 6-pin / 20-pin.
• OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or a spare wire to the SWC input of the head unit.
• OEM AUX connection: RCA (red/black).
• OEM USB connection: USB-A (verify correct wiring before installation).

Settings:

• Set DIP switches according to the aftermarket head unit manufacturer (see documentation).

Vehicle compatibility:

• Analog steering wheel control (SWC).

Special cases and warnings:

• Always verify correct pin wiring before connecting to avoid malfunction or damage to the vehicle or device.
• Imported vehicles or vehicles with different software may have limited functionality.

Important additional information

• Compatible with aftermarket head units that have an analog steering wheel control input.

General installation instructions

Pre-installation checks:

1. Check all steering wheel control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with power off.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – with power off.

Connections and wiring sequence:

1. Set and check the hardware configuration of the interface – with power off.
2. Check the configuration of the head unit connection cable – with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the head unit according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power last.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket head unit (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and vehicle communication.

Changing the interface or head unit cable configuration:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

If the interface or vehicle system malfunctions:

• Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
• Start the original unit.
• Initiate CAN Bus shutdown.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications must be performed only by professionally trained personnel.
