Keep the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle equipment, range of functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the shown wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel controls.

CAN Bus information

• Connector: ISO / Mini ISO.
• Output for OEM steering wheel control: 3.5mm jack or loose wire.
• Vehicles with +12V switched power and analog SWC in the Mini ISO connector pins 10/11/12 SWC1/GND/SWC2.
• Vehicles without an original OEM head unit.
• If SWC button functions are swapped, swap the green/blue wire connections.
• For vehicles with a Daiichi OEM unit with directly wired color-coded wires, verify the analog signals with the OEM unit before installation.

Important additional information

• Intended for aftermarket head units from Sony, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Alpine, LG, Zenec, XZent, Digital Dynamics, ESX, Snooper and universal "China HU" units with Key1/Key2/GND wires or a 3.5mm jack depending on the type.
• To fully activate the adapter it is necessary to order the connecting cable for the specific radio brand.

General installation instructions

Verification before installation:

1. Check all steering wheel control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit installed.
2. Remove the original radio with the power off.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – with the power off.

Connections and wiring sequence:

1. Perform interface settings and hardware configuration with the power off.
2. Check the configuration of the connection cable to the head unit (HU).
3. Connect the cable to the head unit according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the other wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power supply as the last step.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket head unit (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing the interface and HU cable configuration:

• Make all changes with the power off.
• After making changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
• Start the original unit.
• Wait for the CAN Bus to enter sleep mode.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After the CAN Bus has entered sleep mode, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications must be performed only by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
• All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
