Steelmate SBS-2 Blind Spot Assistant
The new and improved Steelmate 2nd generation blind spot monitoring system with a maximum range of up to 30 meters. The SBS-2 alerts the driver when being overtaken by another vehicle from the left or right side. Drivers often neglect visual checks of the lane behind the vehicle - in the blind spot before merging. The system reduces the likelihood of fatal traffic accidents during overtaking and lane changes. The SBS-2 is homologated and developed in collaboration with car manufacturers. It uses 77GHz microwave high-frequency technology.

At higher relative speeds, there is a risk that at the moment of warning about an approaching vehicle, the immediate relative speed and distance may no longer allow avoiding a collision. Therefore, it is essential for the driver to always rely on their abilities and driving experience. This device does not replace the driver's ability to control the vehicle and make correct decisions while driving. When installing the SBS-2 on a vehicle with a towing device, the sensor must be placed at such a height that the towing device is not in the detection zone. The sensor must not be obstructed by metal objects.
