Quartorigo Fantasia Subwoofer
The Quartorigo Fantasia Sub is the bass foundation of the Fantasia range and embodies the brand’s philosophy in its most concentrated form. Its very execution clearly indicates that this is not an ordinary subwoofer aimed at showy bass, but a precise instrument intended for accurate and controlled reproduction of the lowest frequencies with maximum authority and musicality.
The subwoofer uses a 250 mm paper cone, which in deep black finish looks exceptionally clean and technical. Paper was not chosen by chance — it offers an ideal combination of low mass, internal damping and natural response, which positively affects the readability of bass structures and the natural decay of tones. A nominal power of 250 W RMS should be understood in the context of Quartorigo’s philosophy, which consistently works with real, technically honest values rather than marketing-inflated figures. The subwoofer’s construction, including a massive 75 mm voice coil, is rated for significantly higher loads, and therefore the recommended amplifier power is up to 800 W RMS. This reserve is not about extreme loudness, but primarily about absolute control, dynamic certainty and stability of performance even in demanding passages.
The use of a neodymium magnet in a subwoofer of this category is exceptional and again confirms the brand’s unconventional approach. Neodymium provides an exceptionally strong magnetic field in very compact dimensions, allowing high acoustic performance without a bulky magnet system. This makes it possible to install the Fantasia Sub in tight spaces and compact enclosures where conventional subwoofers with ferrite magnets would encounter spatial limitations. The basket design follows the minimalist, open concept applied to the Fantasia woofer. Maximized airflow significantly reduces turbulence and back pressure around the voice coil, improves cooling and contributes to lower distortion at large excursions. The subwoofer therefore preserves a calm, firm and precisely defined character even under prolonged load.
The Fantasia Subwoofer is optimized for a sealed enclosure of approximately 15 l, making it an ideal solution for high-end car installations where compact dimensions, fast response and maximum integration with other system drivers are crucial. The result is bass that is not dominant on its own, but forms a solid, deep and natural foundation for the entire musical scene.
