RUPES X-CUT Foam Abrasive P1500 125 mm

The RUPES abrasive disc with 1500 grit is designed for removing paint defects while preserving the paint texture (so-called 'orange peel'). It is suitable for sanding with water, i.e. wet sanding. It is intended for all types of orbital polishers and sanders in combination with a foam backing pad under the backing plate. Abrasive discs are used for faster removal of deeper defects in the clear coat. In some cases repeated polishing alone cannot completely remove these significant defects; moreover, continuously repeating machine polishing stresses the surrounding undamaged paint, which is polished together with the defects. Therefore it is better to gently sand the heavily damaged area and then polish it using the usual procedure. The abrasive surface of the disc is attached to a foam backing that ensures preservation of the paint texture. When working, we also recommend using a foam backing pad between the backing plate and the abrasive disc to ensure better surface conformity and gentler, more even work.
