The RUPES LHR 15ES performs an orbital motion that is significantly gentler than a traditional rotary polisher and allows for a better final appearance ("finish") of the paint. It is very easy and effective to use. The polisher features 6-speed settings for trouble-free work in any situation. It is suitable for polishing all types of painted and clear-coated surfaces on cars, boats, caravans, aircraft and motorcycles. The larger throw provides faster work without loss of effectiveness, especially on large panels and parts such as vans, buses, motorhomes, boats and aircraft. Conversely, it is not ideal for polishing contours and hard-to-reach areas. For those purposes we recommend a polisher with a smaller throw, e.g. the MT310 Meguiar's DA Polisher with a 3" backing plate (DBP3).

Advantages of orbital / DA polishers compared to rotary polishers

Safety and gentleness - orbital / DA polishers generate less heat than rotary polishers, reducing the risk of permanent paint damage due to high temperatures (so-called "burning through" the paint) or over-polishing.
