RUPES BigFoot Random Orbital Polisher LHR15ES (BAS)

Machine random orbital polisher with a 15 mm orbit, basic kit. The RUPES LHR 15ES performs an "orbital" motion, which is significantly gentler than a classic rotary and enables a better final appearance (so-called "finish") of the paint. Its use is very simple and effective. The polisher allows speed adjustment in 6 steps for trouble-free work in any situation. It is suitable for polishing all types of painted and glazed surfaces on cars, boats, caravans, aircraft and motorcycles. The larger orbit ensures faster work without loss of effectiveness, especially on large surfaces and parts such as vans, buses, motorhomes, boats and aircraft. Conversely, it is not suitable for polishing contours and hard-to-reach areas. For these purposes we recommend using a polisher with a smaller orbit, e.g. the MT310 Meguiar's DA Polisher with a 3" backing plate (DBP3).

Advantages of orbital / DA polishers compared to rotary polishers

Safety and gentleness - an orbital / DA polisher does not generate as much heat as a rotary polisher, reducing the risk of irreversible paint damage from high temperature (so-called "burning through the paint") or excessive abrasion.
No holograms - the orbital / DA motion does not create holograms, which often appear as a side effect when working with a rotary polisher. Holograms then need to be removed in subsequent polishing steps and this can be a time- and skill-intensive process on the way to a perfect paint finish. Such a repair can take even a professional several hours.
Simplicity - after being shown basic working procedures you will master working with an orbital / DA polisher in literally minutes; with a rotary polisher professional training and several months of experience are recommended before attempting paint restoration on a car.
Perfect finish - the lower "aggressiveness" of orbital / DA polishers contributes to a smoother and better final result and higher gloss with significantly lower risk of additional paint damage.
