Cleaning and Maintenance of Rubber Mats
Keeping the car clean and tidy is not only aesthetically pleasing but also safer for everything you transport. Dust and coarse dirt that accumulate over time can scratch transported items, so it's essential to keep the mat clean and in good condition. We recommend cleaning the rubber mat at least once every two months, or more frequently if you transport items often. Here's a simple way to do it.- First, thoroughly vacuum the mat. (You can do this in the car or outside.)
- If necessary, shake out the dirt outside in a designated and suitable place.
- Vacuum the luggage space itself.
- Place the mat outside on a clean surface or hang it on a wall or designated area.
- It's desirable to keep the underside of the rubber mat clean.
- Next, spray a universal cleaner and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If the mat is heavily soiled, use a brush.
- Ideally, use a pressure washer to rinse off the dirt and let it air dry.
- If you can't rinse the mat with water pressure, use a microfiber cloth with long fibers to wipe off the cleaner gradually.
- Once clean and dry, you can return the rubber mat to the car.
