Cleaning and Maintenance of Rubber Mats
Cleanliness and order in the car are not only an aesthetic matter but also safer for everything you transport. Dust and coarse dirt that settles in the mat over time can scratch transported items, so it's good to keep the mat clean and in order. We recommend cleaning the rubber mat at least once every two months, but more often if you frequently transport items. Here’s a simple way to do it.- First, thoroughly vacuum the mat. (Either in the car or outside.)
- Optionally, shake out dirt outside in a designated and suitable place.
- Vacuum the luggage space itself.
- Place the mat outside on a clean surface, or hang it on a wall or designated place.
- It's desirable to keep the bottom side of the rubber mat clean.
- Then spray a universal cleaner and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If the mat is heavily soiled, use a brush.
- Ideally, use a pressure washer to rinse off dirt and let it air dry.
- If pressure washing is not an option, use a microfiber cloth with long fibers and gradually wipe off the cleaner.
- Once clean and dry, you can return the rubber mat to the car.
