Rigum is a traditional Czech manufacturer based in Dubňany, in the heart of South Moravia. Cleaning and Maintenance of Rigum Rubber Car Mats
Cleanliness and order in the car are not only aesthetically pleasing but also a matter of safety. Dust and coarse dirt settle on the mat over time, causing dust to swirl in the car's interior, which you inhale. (Foot movement while driving stirs the dust.) Even worse is the risk of shoe slippage, especially if your shoes are wet. We recommend cleaning rubber car mats at least once a month, or more often if you drive daily. Here's a simple guide on how to do it:- Thoroughly vacuum the mats. (Either in the car or outside.)
- Shake out debris from the mat outside in a suitable location.
- Vacuum the car's carpet as well.
- Lay the mats outside on a clean surface, or hang them on a wall or a designated spot.
- Ensure the underside of the rubber mat remains clean.
- Spray a universal cleaner on all mats and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If mats are heavily soiled, use a brush.
- Ideally, rinse off dirt with a pressure washer and let the mats air dry.
- If pressure washing is not possible, use a microfiber cloth with long fibers to wipe off the cleaner.
- Once clean and dry, return the rubber mats to the car.
