Cleaning and Maintenance of Rigum Rubber Car Mats
Cleanliness and order in the car are not only aesthetically pleasing but also important for safety. Dust and coarse debris that accumulate over time can cause dust to swirl in the car's interior, which you end up breathing. (Foot movement while driving stirs up the dust.) Moreover, as coarse debris increases, there's a risk of shoes slipping, especially if they are wet. Therefore, we recommend cleaning the rubber car mats at least once a month, or more frequently if you drive daily. Here's a simple guide on how to do it:- First, thoroughly vacuum the mats. (Inside or outside the car is fine.)
- Shake out any debris from the mats outside in an appropriate area.
- Vacuum the car's floor.
- Place the mats outside on a clean surface or hang them on a wall or designated spot.
- It's desirable to keep the bottom side of the rubber mat clean.
- Spray a universal cleaner on the mats and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If heavily soiled, use a brush to clean.
- Ideally, use a pressure washer to rinse off debris and let the mats air dry.
- If a pressure washer is not available, use a microfiber cloth to wipe off the cleaner.
- Once clean and dry, place the rubber mats back in the car.
