Cleaning and Maintenance of Rigum Rubber Car Mats
Cleanliness and order in the car are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also a safety concern. Dust and coarse dirt settling on the mat can cause dust circulation in the car interior, which you breathe in. Coarse dirt increases the risk of shoe slippage, especially if your footwear is wet. We recommend cleaning rubber car mats at least once a month, more often if you drive daily. Here's a simple cleaning process:- First, vacuum the mats thoroughly.
- Shake out dirt from the mats outside in a designated area.
- Vacuum the car floor.
- Place the mats outside on a clean surface or hang them on a wall or designated spot.
- Ensure the rubber mat's underside remains clean.
- Spray an all-purpose cleaner on the mats and let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
- If heavily soiled, use a brush.
- Ideally, rinse off dirt with a pressure washer and let the mats dry naturally.
- If pressure washing isn't possible, use a microfiber cloth to wipe the cleaner off.
- Once clean and dry, return the rubber mats to the car.
