Rigum is a traditional Czech manufacturer based in Dubňany, in the heart of South Moravia. They have extensive experience in the production of rubber and textile car mats, rubber trunk liners, and other products. During the production of car mats and rubber liners, which they produce according to their own patterns and designs, they always conduct strict quality checks of each product. Rigum has patented its own car mat fixation system, which keeps the mat firmly in place. The underside of the rubber mat has a non-slip layer, preventing it from moving. Rigum rubber mats are made of elastic rubber. A significant advantage is the 1.5 cm high edge that prevents dirt from getting on the floor and liquids from spilling beyond the mat. Cleaning and Maintenance of Rigum Rubber Car Mats
Cleanliness and order in the car are not only about aesthetics but also safety. Dust and coarse dirt that accumulate over time on the mat cause dust circulation in the car's interior, which you continue to breathe in. (Foot movement while driving causes dust to swirl.) Worse still, the increasing amount of coarse dirt poses a risk of foot slipping, especially if your shoes are wet. Therefore, we recommend cleaning rubber car mats at least once a month, or more frequently if you drive daily. Here's a simple guide on how to clean them:- First, thoroughly vacuum the mats. (Either in the car or outside.)
- Shake out any dirt from the mats outside at an appropriate and suitable location.
- Vacuum the car's floor itself.
- Place the mats outside on a clean surface or hang them on a wall or another suitable place.
- It's important that the underside of the rubber mat remains clean.
- Next, spray a universal cleaner over all mats and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If the mats are heavily soiled, use a brush.
- Ideally, use a pressure washer to rinse off dirt and let the mats air dry.
- If using a pressure washer is not possible, use a microfiber cloth with long fibers to wipe away the cleaner.
- Return the clean and dry rubber mats to the car.
