Active subwoofer Renegade RS800A
Renegade RS800A is an active subwoofer with a built-in amplifier that delivers strong, dense bass in a small package, making it ideal where space is limited, for example under a seat, between seats or in the trunk of smaller vehicles. The RS800A model combines a compact 20cm (8") subwoofer with a powerful amplifier rated at 100 W RMS and up to 200 W peak power, providing a significant boost to low frequencies and a fuller music experience without the need for a separate amplifier or complicated installation. Thanks to its low-profile design and flexible inputs, the RS800A can be easily integrated into almost any car without compromising design or usable space. This active subwoofer is the perfect choice for those who want naturally deeper bass, better dynamics and fuller sound without extensive installation work or high costs.

- Automatic turn-on (Auto Turn-On) - the subwoofer powers up automatically when the audio system is turned on.
- Bass-level remote control - allows quick bass adjustments from the driver's seat.
- Quality metal heat sink - stable operation and effective heat dissipation.
How to use the Renegade RS800A - basic recommendations
Connection to the audio system
Connect the RS800A to your car radio using RCA connectors for a clean signal, or use the high-level inputs if your car radio does not have preamp outputs (RCA).
Power and switching on
The subwoofer can be easily powered from the vehicle's 12V system. The Auto Turn-On feature will switch it on automatically with the car radio without the need for a separate remote lead.
Setting the frequency filter and bass boost
Use the low-pass filter (50 - 150 Hz) to set which frequencies are sent to the subwoofer. The bass boost lets you emphasize the low end according to your preference.
Phase adjustment and remote control
The phase switch (0° / 180°) helps align the subwoofer with the main speakers for smoother bass integration. With the bass level remote you can conveniently adjust bass intensity directly from the driver's seat.
Placement in the car
Thanks to its low profile and compact dimensions (approx. 240 x 80 x 325 mm) the subwoofer can be placed under a seat, between seats or in storage areas where it does not take up much space.

| RMS power of the subwooferThe RMS power of an active subwoofer is the constant power that the active subwoofer can play over a long period of time. We recommend following this value. The RMS power of active subwoofers is taken as the RMS power of the integrated amplifier, which in most cases is slightly undersized, which guarantees protection against subwoofer burning. | 100W |
| Maximum subwoofer performancePeak performance or Max. power that an active subwoofer can play for a moment (approx. 0.5 s), for example when percussion instruments are struck in a recording. But it is not as important a parameter as the RMS power. | 200 W |
| The diameter of the subwoofer usedThe diameter of the subwoofer that is installed in the active box. | 8" (20cm) |
| Frequency rangeThe ability of the device to reproduce a signal from the lowest frequency to the highest, or the ability of an active subwoofer to faithfully reproduce sound in a specific frequency band. Professionally: In the frequency range from 40 to 16,000 Hz, the vast majority of fundamental and overtones (harmonics) of all musical instruments are found. We are interested in the course of the radiated sound pressure in this range of frequencies when the loudspeaker system is supplied with constant power. We call this course the frequency characteristic, which tells us the level of radiated sound pressure in decibels (dB) depending on the frequency. The frequency characteristic of a speaker or speaker system can be expressed most succinctly with a graph. Mostly, however, the frequency characteristic is indicated by indicating the maximum tolerance of the sound pressure in the given frequency range, e.g. 50 to 15,000 Hz -+ 6 dB. since the frequency characteristics of loudspeakers and systems in general are quite uneven, some manufacturers do not even specify this maximum tolerance of sound pressure in decibels for reasons of prestige. Data impoverished in this way is worthless. What is valid is that the manufacturer offers a speaker system with a frequency range of 30 to 20,000 Hz, if he is worried about stating the maximum unevenness of the sound pressure in this range, because he can have a tolerance of, for example, +- 20 dB. The unevenness, i.e. the undulation of the frequency course in good speaker systems for quality music performance should not exceed +-3 dB in the 80 to 12,000 Hz band and +-6 dB in the 40 to 16,000 Hz band. Greater unevenness already depletes or emphasizes certain tonal areas, which can cause audible or even disturbing distortion. The proportion between fundamental tones and higher harmonics also changes, thereby changing the color of the sound, and individual musical instruments as well as the entire musical image sound unnatural. | 50 - 150 Hz |
| High level inputThe high-level input on the active subwoofer enables connection directly to the speakers in the car without purchasing an external high/low converter. Use in the case of mounting an active subwoofer on the original car radio. | Yes |
| Automatic on and offThis function will facilitate your installation and solve the problem of finding a remote signal, which is sometimes a problem with original car radios. The active subwoofer with the Auto sense function can recognize that the equipment in the car is active and turn itself on. A useful and practical feature. | Yes |
| Bass boost functionBass boost or bass enhancement. With this function, the bass itself can be emphasized, at a high level of bass boost, the speakers and the subwoofer can distort a lot and the sound will be worse than better. We therefore recommend using the "bass boost" function wisely. | Yes |
| Phase rotation optionPhase shift is a linear electronic oscillator that produces a sinusoidal output. It consists of an inverting part of the amplifier such as a transistor. The feedback network "shifts" the phase at the output of the amplifier by 180 degrees to the oscillation frequency and gives positive feedback. The Phase shift filter produces a phase shift that increases with increasing frequency. This is usually used when the subwoofer sub-assembly is out with the magnet, or when two amplifiers are connected externally. Phase Shift is also used with active speaker wiring, where the time shift of the speakers is set. The point is that the subwoofer does not play the bass late, and for this reason better amplifiers offer this phase reversal option. | Yes |
| Crossover setting optionsUsually this involves tuning the LPF filter on the active subwoofer. | Yes |
| Cabling included in the packageSome active subwoofers have complete wiring included in the package. In the event that the package really includes complete wiring for connection, we mark the parameter as "yes". If the wiring is not included, it must be purchased. | No |
| Remote control included in the packageSome models of active subwoofers also have wired remote controls in the package, which on the one hand connect to the active box, and on the other hand you have a potentiometer that you can place anywhere in the cabin. A common place to place the remote control is under the steering wheel. The advantage is the regulation of power, and therefore volume, depending on driving conditions and the mood of the crew in the car. | Yes |
| Protective gridProtective grids or bars, as protection against mechanical damage to the subwoofer. | Yes |
| What is the baffle made of?Active subwoofers can be made of MDF board, hardened plastic, sheet metal, aluminum or a combination of different materials. | Metal alloy |
