Blaupunkt RC-26 is an ergonomic wireless remote control designed for comfortable operation of compatible Blaupunkt head units directly from the steering wheel. The retro design continues the well-known Blaupunkt remotes RC 05/06/07/08/09 and RC-10, so it suits not only modern 1DIN head units but also the brand's retro models. The remote allows use of the most important head unit functions without removing hands from the steering wheel. This increases driving comfort and helps reduce driver distraction while driving.
Ergonomic control directly from the steering wheel
The RC-26 offers a total of 9 control buttons that can be used to adjust volume, switch sources or change tracks, for example. The compact body has a matte finish and is designed to fit comfortably in the hand without looking intrusive on the steering wheel. The remote is ideal especially for vehicles that do not have an original multifunction steering wheel or where the original audio system has been replaced with a new Blaupunkt head unit.
Simple Plug & Play installation
The system uses a separate SWC interface with a 3.5 mm jack connector that connects directly to the compatible head unit. The RC-26 is intended for Blaupunkt head units equipped with an SWC – Steering Wheel Control input. On some 1DIN Blaupunkt head units from the 2024 model year the RC-26 functions are already preset. On older compatible models individual commands can be easily learned in the head unit's SWC menu.
Wireless design with its own power supply
The remote itself is powered by two LR44 batteries and operates at 3 V. The connection interface is powered from the vehicle's 12V electrical system and its consumption is less than 0.1 mA. The wireless solution means no wiring needs to be run from the steering wheel. The package also includes a mounting strap including a spare strap and other mounting accessories.
